Lee-Anne Carter is a Wiradjuri and Noongar woman. Lee-Anne has worked at VALS since 2011 and is the Statewide Community Justice Program Leader. In this role, Lee-Anne manages community programs such as the VALS’ Custody Notification Service, the Baggarrook Aboriginal Women’s transitional housing program, Regional Client Service Officers Program, V-PeR, Family Violence Client Service Officers program and VALS Community Legal Education program.
Lee-Anne has a background in case-management, in particular working with clients with complex needs and disabilities. Her passion for the direct contact with community is an essential part of VALS’ holistic approach and the practical, tangible work undertaken by the Community Justice Programs team.
Lee-Anne is a Non-Executive Board Member of Mental Health Victoria.
