Eddie Cubillo

Eddie is an Aboriginal man with strong family links in both the urban and rural areas throughout the Northern Territory. His mother is of Larrakia/Wadjigan descent and his father is Central Arrente. Mr Cubillo’s family has experienced the intergenerational effects of the policy of forced removal of children of mixed descent from their family and country

Nerita Waight

Nerita completed her Bachelor of Arts and Laws at Melbourne University in 2011 whilst undertaking a cadetship through the Australian Taxation Office. In 2012, Nerita commenced a traineeship with the Victorian Government Solicitors Officer where she was able to undertake her practical legal training whilst undertaking exciting work in various branches.

Moricia Vrymoet

Moricia Vrymoet is a Gunditjmara woman from the southwest Victoria. Moricia leads VALS legal service practices, as Director of Legal Services. She also assists with organisation strategy and a number of key strategic projects. Recently, Moricia has provided leadership and oversight to facilitate the establishment of the new Wirraway practice, VALS specialist legal and litigation practice.

A member of the Executive Management Team Kerryn works to achieve VALS goals and objectives of addressing the causes and effects of the disadvantage of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders within the justice system and improving quality and efficiency of service delivery and efficiency to access high quality and culturally appropriate legal aid services.
