Power of attorney is about letting someone make decisions for you when you are not able to because of a physical or mental impairment or disorder, even if it is short or medium term.
The person that serves as power of attorney may assist with the following;
- Helping you with money matters
- Assisting you with your living situation
- Organising health care
- If you don’t appoint someone, you may not be able to choose who is in charge
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal may need to appoint an administrator assist you.
