VALS was founded by a group of talented and dedicated volunteers to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in Victoria.

Since 2021, VALS has hosted over 300 volunteers.

Vals volunteers create social change. Our volunteers contribute to several different areas within the organisation and are the champions of formidable change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria, and more broadly. Youth Volunteer Program

For those aged between 15-18

Be a part of change makers in one of our offices around Victoria. We are always happy to tailor our programs to suit individuals or groups.

Careers Week Program

If you’re in school and fascinated with the legal world in any capacity, we can tailor our program depending on what you’re interested in through weekly, fortnightly or monthly placements.

We offer professional development opportunities for our past and current volunteers, in which you can complete VACCHO Cultural Safety Awareness Training.
